I went golfing today and scored my best score from the white tees so far for the front nine at Brailsford. It was freezing and most of the water on the course was frozen, however my 4 layers + scarf and hat kept me nice and warm.

Got my hands on a copy of the Biblia Hebraica Stuttgartensia today. Not that I can read it at the moment, but I can dream!

I’m learning Koine Greek at the moment and found a great guide on getting your computer setup to type greek. At least I was learning greek until I got back home after the christmas break and promptly got snowed under with work which had been piling up while I ate mince pies and sang christmas carols!

Anyway I should be on top of it all by the start of next week so it’s not that bad. For those of you who are interested in what I’m going to be studying at Warwick here’s a link to some course notes  which I’m reading through in preparation.

What an interesting year it has been. We missed out on Euro 2008, made up for it in the Olympics and of course it was the year of the credit crunch. On a more personal note I finally finished my degree this year.

Just when you thought 2008 was over astronomers decided to make us wait even longer for 2009 to start by adding an extra leap second to 2008.
